SENIOR DIGITAL PRODUCER

Location: Warsaw

Located in the Macmillan Education office in Warsaw (and part of the Global Operations Department, based in London), the Senior Digital Producer will play a crucial role in managing digital content delivery from initial scheduling through digital production, to full platform delivery and Go-Live.

The role has team leadership responsibilities and it is expected that the successful candidate will not only manage operational delivery, but also be able to demonstrate effective problem solving, planning and people management skills.

 

As Senior Digital Producer, your responsibilities will include:

·         Working collaboratively with editorial and technical teams to ensure effective delivery of digital content into multiple platforms for validation and go live.

·         Management of multiple content items across various  environments, via detailed scheduling and dependency planning

·         Liaising with technical teams regarding digital processing issues, which might include platform feature development, pre-flight and acceptance testing, trafficking of assets and software update versions.

·         Representing the digital operations team at digital update meetings and certain tactical planning forums, advising as appropriate on workflow and best practice.

·         Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, utilising a variety of project management tools and systems including Jira and SmartSheet. Processing  issues via ticketing systems (mainly JIRA).

·         Applying best practice, highlighting / managing risk and driving multiple deliveries (both personal and departmental) to a successful conclusion.

·          Effectively working with the Digital Operations management team to ensure opportunity, risk and issue are properly managed within a changing environment

·         Acting collaboratively and constructively, through proactive engagement with multiple stakeholders, project teams and suppliers, globally.

 

To be successful in this role you should be:

·         Organized, flexible, adaptable, personable and able to multi-task.

·         A team player with a background in digital delivery, and preferably publishing.

·         Able to learn complex systems and get to grips with technical information and procedures quickly

·         Familiar with end to end digital development workflows

 

Required experience/skills:

·         At least 2 years of experience in publishing, media or advertising agency

·         Digital project management skills

·         Experience of digital product development (manipulation and transfer of a variety of digital assets, digital content delivery workflows)

·         Knowledge of Learning Management Systems

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Ability to learn new systems and software tools quickly

·         Good spoken and written English

 

Desirable experience/skills:

·         Previous line management responsibilities

·         Knowledge of XML workflows

·         Understanding of User Experience and User Interface design

·         Understanding of print production workflows and scheduling

·         Understanding of Agile methodology

·         Educated to degree level
